General
What is FusionGate?
FusionGate is a software-based GSM termination and VoIP gateway solution that transforms Android smartphones into professional GSM gateways. It routes VoIP calls through GSM networks using the device's native SIM cards, providing an alternative to traditional SIM box hardware.
How is FusionGate different from traditional SIM boxes?
Traditional SIM box hardware requires rack mounting and is easily detected by carriers. FusionGate uses regular Android smartphones with a software license, is mobile and portable, and provides natural stealth behavior since phones appear as regular smartphones to network operators.
Which devices are supported?
FusionGate is certified for Samsung Galaxy devices:
- Samsung Galaxy A13
- Samsung Galaxy A14
- Samsung Galaxy A15 (Android 14, 15)
- Samsung Galaxy A16 (Android 14, 15)
- Samsung Galaxy A35
- Samsung Galaxy A36
- Samsung Galaxy A53 (Android 13, 14)
- Samsung Galaxy A54 (Android 13, 14, 15)
- Samsung Galaxy S9
- Samsung Galaxy S10
We continuously expand device support. Contact us for information on other models.
Does FusionGate require rooting?
Yes, FusionGate requires a rooted device to access the native GSM audio path and system-level features. We provide a comprehensive Rooting Guide with step-by-step instructions.
What softswitches/SBCs does FusionGate work with?
FusionGate works with any standard SIP-compliant softswitch or SBC, including:
- Asterisk / FreePBX
- FreeSWITCH
- Kamailio / OpenSIPS
- VitalPBX
- 3CX
- Kolmisoft MOR/M2
- VoipSwitch
- Startrinity
- And many more
Licensing
How is the license tied to my device?
Each license is tied to the device's Android-ID and device fingerprint. This creates a unique identifier for each phone, ensuring licenses cannot be copied or shared between devices.
Can I transfer my license to a different device?
Yes. You can request license reassignment within your licensed capacity at any time. Contact our support team with your current device details and the new device's Android-ID to process the transfer.
What happens if my device breaks or is replaced?
If your device breaks or needs to be replaced, you can transfer the license to a new device. Contact support with proof of the original device (license key, device fingerprint) to request reassignment.
How many SIMs can I use per license?
Each license covers one device, which can use up to 2 SIM cards (dual-SIM). Both SIM slots are included in a single license.
Technical
What audio quality can I expect?
FusionGate uses the device's native GSM audio path, so call quality is indistinguishable from a regular mobile phone call. VoIP calls exit the device as native 3G/4G/5G GSM calls with full audio quality.
What codecs are supported?
FusionGate supports standard VoIP codecs including:
- G.711 μ-law and A-law
- G.729
- G.723.1
- RFC 2833 DTMF
How many concurrent calls can one device handle?
Each device can handle one call per SIM slot. With dual-SIM devices, you can have up to 2 concurrent calls per phone. For higher capacity, deploy multiple devices.
Does FusionGate work over VPN?
Yes, FusionGate supports WireGuard VPN for enhanced security and to bypass IP filtering in certain regions. VPN configuration is optional but recommended for hostile environments.
How does the stealth behavior work?
FusionGate includes several features to appear as a regular phone to carriers:
- Human-like call pacing: random delays between calls.
- SIM rotation: automatic switching between SIMs.
- Variable call duration: avoids predictable patterns.
- Rest periods: SIMs rest after configurable usage.
- Natural device behavior: a regular Android phone, not identifiable as gateway hardware.
What happens during network outages?
FusionGate includes self-healing automation:
- Auto-reconnect for SIP registration.
- Automatic SIM recovery after network issues.
- Watchdog service to restart unresponsive components.
- Configurable scheduled reboots.
How long does installation take?
Complete setup (rooting, installation and configuration) typically takes 30–60 minutes for each device. Experienced operators can do it faster with practice.
